About Tiana Traylor

Tiana Traylor started playing piano as a five-year-old and continued through college. She has been a highly creative and innovative teacher of children and adults since 1986. Teaching in cooperative schools for 15 years, followed by owning her own Early Childhood School from 1999-2023, She presented daily music and movement classes, along with workshops on how to teach music to children. This has allowed her to hone her music teaching skills to the level of excellence.

Tiana's goals in teaching piano are first and foremost, to build a strong rapport with each student that communicates a shared sense of joy in each effort and accomplishment. Second, to help the student gain competence in reading, theory, and performance skills in order to play independently. And finally, to communicate that playing and writing music is a magical place where one can express their deepest sorrow, their greatest joy, and everything in between!

Tiana holds an Early Childhood Education Degree with a specialty in Music, and a Master's Degree in Human Development with a specialty in teaching adults. She plays flute, piano, and guitar, and is a recording artist with four published compilations of all-original music, two for children and two for adults.

Besides teaching piano and writing and recording music, Tiana's other interests include raising her final fifteen year old, parent education, spiritual study, drawing and painting, reading, writing, travel, nature, and camping.
