About Sandra Lybe
Sandra is a dedicated and experienced music teacher. She has taught piano and voice for over 30 years and continues a passion for music and teaching.
She began studying piano at the age of 5, growing up in a family of professional musicians. In the 4th grade she began accompanying instrumental soloists and choirs. Sandra studied piano performance, music theory, and also theatre arts at the University of California at Fullerton. She pursued a career in musical theatre in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and NYC. She also began accompanying for actors at auditions and performances, which led to vocal coaching and teaching piano. Soon, music became her career. Sandra taught piano and voice in Los Angeles and NYC as well as accompanying at Western Connecticut State University, Danbury High School in CT, and Brewster Central Schools in NY. She has also served as Minister of Music at Agoura Hills Congregational Church in California, Newbury Congregational Church in Brookfield CT, and New Milford United Methodist Church in CT. She has had students continue on to study piano and voice at NYU, Berklee School of Music, and other colleges and universities.
She enjoys teaching students of all ages, including adults. She is currently musical director at Premiere Youth Theatre in Clermont, FL.
