Over the years, Sam has developed into a fun and engaging music instructor. Most notably, he worked with over 100 different students at the Bach to Rock music school; Teaching private lessons, group lessons and summer camps.
In terms of teaching methods; Sam creates a personalized lesson plan for each student that mostly includes exercises, music theory and playing songs. Customizing song selections and “fun music” to his students’ interests is an important part of instruction. Sam also places a lot of importance on creativity in learning through a traditional approach. Through a holistic outlook of different instruments and how they are connected to one another, Sam has an opportunity to broaden the scope of his students’ musical world. This is one of the most rewarding aspects of teaching to Sam, and through care and creativity, he hopes to open new methods of expression for his students.
Sam believes the most important part of any music lesson is that the student is having fun and enjoying themselves. He finds that figuring out preferences that make a student comfortable is essential to a great music lesson. This is why, regardless of the level of the student’s skill, Sam is committed to giving great music lessons and never giving up on his students!
