Natasha Nay, or Ms. Tasha, as her students affectionately call her, delights in teaching piano, voice, clarinet, bass clarinet, recorder and Native American flute. Ms. Tasha has a devotion and passion for music making as it has transported her into a world of friendship, collaboration and connection.
Ms. Tasha has been blessed to study with several teachers and in 1991 she was graduated from National Shakespeare Conservatory with an MFA equivalent in classical theatre and from Seattle Pacific University in March of 2014 with a BA in Music. She also performed a one person thirty minute show, Soul Singer, at The Viillage Gate in Greenwich Village, NYC, with her original music and lyrics as part of a talent show night. She is currently the resident pianist for the Snoqualmie United Methodist Church, and is continuing to work on her own original songs.
Natasha is inspired by a variety of music. She was raised on Beethoven as well as Simon & Garfunkel, Johnny Cash and Marty Robbins. She embraces music from across the globe and cultures. Music Education is a vital part of the human experience, uniting us where perhaps ideologies or beliefs threaten to divide. Music making crosses borders, knows no boundaries, and reaches people in their soul without words. Natasha is excited to work with Lessons in Your Home students because her mission in life is to empower others to express their own authentic voice, to have Music as a vital part of their lives and to share and connect to others.
