    About Miranda Heaner

    Born and raised in Los Angeles, Miranda Heaner is a graduate of Northwestern University, where she double majored in French and International Studies. Prior to attending college, Ms. Heaner attended the Colburn School of Performing Arts and received instruction in classical piano from Ms. Miji Kim, and was a proud member in several Los Angeles Unified School District orchestras, where she was the principal violist in notable orchestral works like Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor and Berlioz’s Symphonie fantastique, and a member of award-winning jazz bands. Ms. Heaner is also an accomplished vocalist, and has performed in multiple productions including Amahl and the Night Visitors (Menotti) and Noye’s Fludde (Britten).

    Ms. Heaner strongly believes in a holistic approach to a student’s musical education. She strives to find a style that works for each individual she has the privilege of teaching. Ms. Heaner, or “Miss Miranda” to her students, is thrilled to be an instructor of music and enjoys watching her students develop a lifelong love and appreciation of music.
