    About Maria Viktoria Kovalsky

With dedication and passion, Maria-Viktoria Kovalsky has devoted her life to music. Though she primarily teaches voice in a variety of styles such as classical to jazz, she also teaches piano, violin, and viola. She is currently finishing her Bachelor's in Vocal Performance at Pacific Lutheran University where she has had many opportunities to sing leading roles in operas and study under some of the best in the industry. She has crossed paths with the likes of Angela Meade, Luretta Bybee, and more.

Maria-Viktoria Kovalsky began her love of singing at the tender age of 4. She began seriously training at the young age of 12 with an opera singer who sang on the great stages of Russia. Her love of music never disappeared as she continued to study a variety of instruments such as violin and viola with the Bellevue Youth Symphony. She composed and accompanied piano music for a theater group at Highline College in her high school years. At the same time, she studied with an elite group of high school-age singers at Seattle Opera's Teen Vocal Studio where she had masterclasses with some of the best. She has performed all over the state for audiences of all ages from Benaroya Hall to small retirement communities.

Teaching music became the true calling for Maria-Viktoria Kovalsky. Music is a world of creativity and a great gateway into exploring the expression of oneself. Music is a journey that should be open to all ages and levels as it speaks to the soul on a level nothing else can. Teaching became a great way to help others explore not only themselves; but the world around them.
