    About Malcolm Lowe

Malcolm's love affair with music began at the age of seven when he first touched the keys of a piano. This early introduction sparked a lifelong passion for music that has only grown stronger with time. During his elementary school years, Malcolm's musical repertoire expanded when he joined the harp program, adding a new dimension to his burgeoning musical skills.

In middle school, Malcolm discovered a new musical love—the saxophone. Joining the school band opened up a world of opportunities, and he quickly became an active participant in various extracurricular band activities. From honor band and marching band to numerous festivals, Malcolm thrived as a group performer. Throughout this period, he continued to play the piano recreationally, while also beginning to arrange and compose his own music, laying the foundation for his future career.

Malcolm's passion for music led him to Kennesaw State University, where he pursued a B.A. in Music Composition. Under the tutelage of saxophonist Sam Skelton and composer Dr. Laurence Sherr, Malcolm honed his skills in both performance and composition. His college years were a time of intense growth and development, deepening his understanding and appreciation of music.

With a firm belief that everyone has the potential to become a great musician, Malcolm is dedicated to fostering a deep love and understanding of music in each of his students. He views teaching as an opportunity to spread the joy and passion that music brings, and he looks forward to guiding his students on their own unique musical journeys. For Malcolm, the greatest reward is witnessing the joy that music brings to others, and he is excited to share this joy with every new student he meets.
