Originally from Pennsylvania, Maddy is a music education major at the University of Central Florida, specializing in upper strings. She has been playing violin and viola for fifteen years and also studies piano as well. After she graduates she hopes to teach middle school orchestra and eventually get a master's degree in music therapy. At UCF, she has been the concertmaster of the Symphony and Chamber orchestras, a member of the American String Teachers Association, a camp counselor at the UCF Summer String Camp, and a member of the Women's Chorus. She is a member of the Burnett Honors College and attends UCF on a National Merit Scholarship. In her free time, she likes to ride her bike and read, and is learning how to play bluegrass banjo!
