Madeleine Conti currently attends the Georgia State University School
of Music, where she is a University Scholar Assistant and a Robert
Swiatek Memorial Scholarship recipient. She is in her fourth year of
studying Music Performance with a concentration in percussion. During
high school, she performed with the Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony,
Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra, Emory Youth Symphony Orchestra,
and Tara Winds. Ms. Conti has attended numerous summer music
festivals and camps, including Interlochen Arts Camp in 2007 and
Governor's Honors Program in 2008. In 2009, she was the winner of the
Lexus Scholarship for the Stars, and in 2012, a finalist in the Brumby
Concerto Competition at Georgia State University. In addition to her
performance experience, she is also a seasoned private lesson teacher
for both piano and percussion students. Throughout high school and
college, Ms. Conti has taught 20+ students, including beginning piano
students and all levels of percussion students. Ms. Conti will also be
starting a teaching position at Woodward Academy in the summer of
2013, where she will be their marching percussion instructor.
