Teacher Profile: Keyla Hanson

About Keyla Hanson

Keyla joined the staff at Lessons in Your Home in April 2026. In addition to spending her weekdays in the Pre-K Performing Arts classroom, Keyla teaches private lessons in String Bass, Voice, and Piano. Keyla has been singing her entire life and can't wait to share her favorite way to express herself!

She began her career semi-professionally singing and teaching vocal lessons in 2010, where she utilizes multiple styles and techniques in lessons. Keyla began playing Double Bass in 2003, and began teaching bass in 2012. Over the years, she has expanded from playing and teaching orchestral/classical bass to include jazz and bluegrass styles. Keyla also teaches electric bass in pop, jazz, and rock styles. She feels insanely proud of her beautiful fretless electric, if you'd ever like to see it!

The discipline it takes to be a musician shows up in our daily lives when students who sing and play are more confident. Keyla enjoys working with all ages and skill levels and is looking forward to giving confidence to her students.
