    About Kelly O'Dea

Kelly is a violinist with over 30 years' experience and mental health counselor available for violin/viola lessons. She specializes in Classical, Irish, Scottish, and Norwegian (Hardanger Fiddle) traditions.

Kelly studied Play Therapy at Regis University and has experience with a wide-range of children and can accommodate a variety of cognitive and emotional needs. She has been privileged to see so many students discover their natural skills and abilities and reach results they never dreamed were possible.

Kelly collaborates with her students to determine their needs, goals, and abilities. She specializes in working with students with learning differences and has a gentle, child-centered, approach that works to build confidence and skill.

Kelly was trained under the instruction of Arkady Fomin as a Section Violinist at the Southern Methodist University  Conservatory Orchestra from 1987 to  1993. She has also served as a Fiddle Competition Judge since October 2013 for the Scottish Fiddle Club of Colorado.
