About Kelly Khaliunaa Badrakh
Khaliunaa (Kelly) Badrakh is an accomplished pianist and piano teacher. From international competitions and over 16 years of teaching experience, she has honed a holistic approach to piano instruction for beginning and early advanced students of different ages.
Khaliunaa started taking private piano lessons at the age of 8. She continued her studies throughout her childhood and went to on to attend the Music and Dance College of Mongolia where her first piano instructor became her professor. Khaliunaa participated in piano competitions every year and repeatedly received top marks. She also regularly performed in both solo and chamber music concerts in Mongolia.
The piano is a very visual and tactile instrument. Khaliunaa focuses on spending consistent one-on-one time with her students. She understands that learning piano at young age helps students to develop their left brain, fine motor skills as well as their ears. By learning how to distinguish different sounds, and identify melodies with high and low patterns, they will also learn how to string it all together to make music. Through teaching a variety of genres, she has learned how to tailor each lesson to the student's interests and pace so they can progress and enjoy. Ultimately, Khaliunaa strives to instill a lifelong love of music in her students, and show them that no dream is ever too big to achieve!
