About Kellen Abreu
Kellen has felt the Rocky Mountains calling him for many years, and in the summer of 2017, took his family and moved from Los Angeles to Denver to serve as Arts Director at Sloan's Lake Church. He has lead worship music for almost twenty years and works to engage the community in both visual and performing art (and over a good cup of coffee or tea). Kellen has worked as a church musician and art director in four states over twenty years, and is excited to share that knowledge and passion with the next generation of musicians!
Kellen writes and plays music independently and has toured the country, with various projects over the years - Dust Honey, My November Guest, Kindred Fall and Nixon's Ghost. He is a partner in a boutique recording studio in Redondo Beach, California, MacWood Studios, is a coffee addict, video gamer, and thinker. He also has a formidable collection of records, films, musical instruments and Star Wars memorabilia. He is a dedicated father of two little ladies and the husband of local art teacher and fellow coffee enthusiast, Heather (who currently teaches art at Colfax Elementary).
