About Keith Phillips
Keith is a classically trained pianist, instructor, and music composer in the Atlanta area. He has taught in Atlanta for 10 years. He is the author of "Effective Piano Techniques", a 200 page instruction manual on piano technique that is regularly bought by other instructors and pianists.
Keith has been taught by a long list of world renowned concert pianists, including Ernestine Smith, Gellert Modos, Marilyn Neely, and John Roberts, of which the latter two have both placed in the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. Marilyn Neely has concertized in over 100 appearances with orchestras worldwide. Ernestine Smith, the teacher of his youth, is a third generation concert pianist.
Keith teaches both classical and popular music. His recitals are constantly filled with advanced classical pieces from his students. He has taught and played the masters for many years from Bach to Rachmoninoff.
Keith's solo piano and piano orchestration CDs are sold nationwide. He makes over thirty appearances annually in the U.S. promoting his music, from Arizona to Massachusetts. His current catalog consists of 16 CDs and has sold over 30,000 piano CDs.
