Teacher Profile: Justin Dartt

About Justin Dartt

With decades of guitar and harmonica experience, Justin Dartt is a dedicated educator with experience teaching students of all ages. Justin enjoys Americana and roots music including folk, blues, jazz, country and rock & roll. He holds a Batchelor of Arts from Missouri State University and currently plays guitar with the ACC Jazz Ensemble.

When teaching students, Justin's teaching style low pressure learning with an emphasis on the joy of musicianship. Student will progress by learning new techniques, concepts, and ideas during each lesson. To inspire learning and practical application, Justin focuses on building lessons around the student's interest. Throughout lessons, Justin provides insight into the history and lineage of the student's interest. This helps to expand the appreciation for and connection to the music and instrument.

As a father of three, Justin loves to spend time with his kids and attending their extra curricular activities. In addition to being a music history enthusiast, Justin enjoys collecting antiques, watching the Broncos, and volunteering with the Colorado Jazz Ambassadors youth program.
