About Joseph D'Amico
Joseph D'Amico currently serves as organist and accompanist at Our Lady of the Mountains Roman Catholic Church in Jasper, Georgia. He holds music degrees from Kennesaw State University and Young Harris College where he studied piano with Dr. Keith DeFoor, Dr. Robert Henry, and David Watkins.
Although Joseph was originally a pianist, he accepted the opportunity to become a trained organist and began studying organ privately in 2013. His interest in music intensified after learning organ repertoire and experiencing sacred music. Joseph has received two scholarships from the Atlanta Guild of Organists. He currently studies organ with Dr. Timothy Wissler at the Cathedral of Christ the King.
Joseph actively maintains a private piano studio in and around the Atlanta metro area where he uses classical and traditional methods to give students a solid foundation in music. His training on both piano and organ has given him a broader perspective on musical history and technique. Joseph enjoys sharing his love and appreciation for music with those who wish to learn. His main objective when teaching lessons is to develop each student's potential and he aims to prepare all students for a lifetime of musical enjoyment.
