Teacher Profile: John Kim

About John Kim

John started his musical journey at the age of five. A muti-instrumentalist, John plays and teaches the guitar, drums, and piano. Hailing from a musical family, John's mother and aunt classically trained him on the piano through private instruction and on their worship team. Over the years he became proficient in the guitar and drums through his private instruction, his collegiate studies, experience leading in church, and gigging locally.

John continued his musical studies at Kennesaw State University and The University of North Georgia: Gainesville. Since then, he's generated a social media presence on YouTube and Instagram by creating musical content. He also enjoys writing and giggings at local cafes, restaurants, and venues. John also leads a church worship team of his own and has led various other teams since 2009.

John enjoys learning and sharing the story of who he is and understanding the beauty of the world through music. Music has opened his eyes to a lot and he relishes the chance to share that kind of perspective and passion for music with his students in each and every lesson.
