A native of Rochester, New York, Jillian has been playing violin since the fourth grade, fostering her skills via the Suzuki method ever since. Jillian has a vast amount of experience performing and gigging both locally and nationwide, including participation in all-state and all-county orchestras throughout high school and in college at Tulane University.
Jillian's love of the violin inspired her to volunteer to teach lessons to children in underserved New Orleans communities, which was one of her favorite experiences from her time in Louisiana. She believes that musical education is foundational to living a balanced and passionate life. Jillian was also once selected to be a recreational music teacher for a summer camp in her local town where she built an entire two month curriculum for grade students to learn about musical concepts and ideas in fun and engaging ways. She enjoys helping students recognize their own talents and gifts in the style that comes most naturally to them. Her aim is to instill a lifelong passion for music in each of her students, help them realize their potential, and discover the incredible possibilities of music.
