Jared Lafitte is seasoned performer and teaching professional with nearly 20 years of experience teaching, coaching, and working with students of all ages.
Raised in a family of music professionals, Jared earned his Bachelor of Music Composition and Performance from the Wheaton Conservatory of Music in Chicago. While at Wheaton, Jared studied with acclaimed composers and performers David Gordon, Jan Bach, Howard Whitaker, and Stephen Morscheck.
Upon graduating from Wheaton, Jared began a successful private music studio in Louisville, working with over 300 total students across a 10-year period. He also began a music production company during graduate school, developing performances and recordings with multiple Grammy-winning artists.
Jared‘s teaching philosophy can be summed up in four words: “music is for fulfillment.” Having worked with everyone from Juilliard graduates and Carnegie Hall performers to four-year-old children who are touching an instrument for the first time, Jared‘s approach is to help any student at any level find fulfillment through learning an instrument. He’s patient and relaxed and helps students set small and incremental goals to progress through the enjoyment of music.
