Teacher Profile: Hayley Richbart

About Hayley Richbart

Hayley is a board-certified music therapist trained in classical voice and piano from Buffalo, NY. She uses her skills in piano, voice, and guitar to connect with those who often have trouble connecting with others. Along with a passion for music and building connections, Hayley also spreads her knowledge of music education to students of all ages and skill levels!

Growing up, Hayley began getting involved with music through dance. She loved the ability to be able to express through music and movement and brought that passion into music performance. At age 8, she began playing in the percussion section of her school band, singing in her school choir, and performing in several community theatre productions. A few of her favorite community theatre performances included being in the annual production of "Scrooge" in her hometown. Around the same time, Hayley began taking piano lessons to further expand her musical skills. She continued her music education into college as she studied Music Therapy, earning her music therapy degree from Molloy College.

Hayley has experience teaching students ages 5-75 and loves to individualize each lesson to tap into each student’s motivations and potential. Hayley enjoys adapting her teaching style for each individual in order that students become motivated and excited to learn. Hayley’s passion and love of music is something she plans to spread to each student she teaches, and she is so looking forward to working with students in the Seattle area!

Aside from being trained in classical performance, Hayley also loves musical theatre and performing in community choirs. She enjoys running and being by the water, all while listening to her favorite music performers including Fun., Wilderado, and any contemporary musical theatre piece!
