The joy of music has been a part of Erik’s life from a very young age. As a young child, he was always singing, dancing, and playing the piano along with the songs that he heard on the radio. That passion continued to develop as Erik began formal training on the trombone in fifth grade. He played throughout high school and college, and received a Bachelor’s in music performance from Central Washington University in Ellensburg.
After college, Erik continued playing trombone professionally in the Seattle area, as well as playing piano and drums for his church services on Sundays. He also launched a Youth Music Team at his church in the Auburn/Federal Way area, and serves as the church choir director.
Erik loves sharing the joy for music with students of all ages! His goals with all students include: that they walk away from each lesson feeling proud of what they have accomplished, as well as develop a greater sense of enjoyment as they improve in their musical education.
