Chun Liu is a dedicated and versatile musician with an extensive background in vocal performance, piano, music theory, composition, and aural training. She began her musical journey at the age of five, studying piano with a disciplined and enthusiastic spirit. By the age of eleven, she had already earned the prestigious Level 10 Certificate in Piano Performance from the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing—a remarkable achievement that laid a strong foundation for her future in music. A native of China, Chun’s passion for music led her to pursue advanced studies both at home and abroad. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Voice Performance from Wuhan Conservatory of Music, a Master of Music and Professional Studies Certificate in Voice Performance from Temple University, and most recently, earned her Doctor of Musical Arts in Voice and Opera from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. Chun teaches and performs both piano and voice, and her comprehensive musicianship also includes expertise in music theory, sight-singing, ear training, and diction in multiple languages including Italian, German, French, Chinese, and English.

She has also led and participated in rehearsals and sectional coaching, helping ensembles achieve high artistic standards for public performances.
With over a decade of teaching experience across a variety of educational settings, Chun Liu has built a reputation as a passionate and impactful music educator. She has taught voice, piano, and musicianship courses in private studios, public and private schools, and higher education institutions in both China and the U.S. Her past teaching roles include positions at Rogers School of Music, Minnesota School of Music, Yinghua Academy, and Hubei University of Education. She has provided one-on-one and group instruction to students ranging from young beginners to aspiring professional musicians. Her lessons are tailored to each student’s abilities and goals, and she has successfully prepared students for auditions, recitals, recordings, and academic music programs. In addition to technical instruction, she places strong emphasis on performance preparation, musical interpretation, and the development of healthy vocal and pianistic habits.
