Charles has been passionate about music from an early age, beginning his drumming journey while playing at church in his hometown of Virginia. With more than 20 years of experience as a percussionist, he has developed a deep love for both performing and sharing music with others.
While percussion is his primary focus, Charles is a versatile musician with experience teaching and performing on bass guitar, piano, saxophone, trombone, and trumpet. He also enjoys helping students develop a strong understanding of music theory, giving them the tools to become confident, well-rounded musicians.
For the past seven years, Charles has worked with students of all ages and experience levels through private lessons and the public school system. He enjoys helping each student build a strong musical foundation while encouraging confidence, creativity, and a genuine love of learning.
Charles currently serves as the percussion instructor at Campbell High School, where he works with young musicians to develop their technique, musicianship, and performance skills. Whether a student is picking up an instrument for the very first time or looking to take their playing to the next level, Charles creates a positive, encouraging environment where students can grow at their own pace, reach their goals, and enjoy the journey of making music.
