My name is Brock Settlemier. I began taking piano lessons when I was 7 years old, and now I have started teaching piano myself. Along the way, I also managed to teach myself new instruments like guitar, ukulele, drums, harmonica, and choir singing. I have performed in jazz bands, rock bands, solo vocal performances, and jammed with musicians all over the world.
The values I teach in my lessons are determination, confidence, and communication. The goal I have for all my students is to be able to perform and entertain with ease. My lesson style is very active. I love to play duets with students and give them the extra encouragement they need to progress through the beginning of learning any instrument. Learning music at a young age should be very enjoyable and I love to see self motivated students.
About me: I was born in San Francisco, CA. My favorite activities include performing music, skiing, sailing, surfing, kite boarding, driving race cars, and setting up my hammock atop of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. I have a Red Cross CPR certification, two younger brothers, and countless hours of experience coaching kids on and off the fields.
I went to Piedmont High School. I attend CU boulder as a sophomore. I am planning on getting my minor in music and major in finance.
