About Brittany Ehrhardt
Brittany began her violin studies at the age of 3 with Carol Blue and went on to play through middle school and high school playing a total of 5 region orchestra concerts and winning 3 outstanding solo awards. Brittany has been private teaching for 4 years including 2 previous with a fifth grade strings program in Klein School District and 6 months teaching an after school music program at the Redd School. Also during high school, she played with the Virtuosi of Houston youth orchestra for 2 years. The summer after her high school graduation in 2008, Brittany lived in Estonia and studied violin abroad for 5 months. Once back in Houston, she began at the University of Houston Moores School of Music with studying violin with Sean Wang and now studies with Dr. Kirsten Yon as a junior. Brittany has been playing with the Moores School Symphony Orchestra for 2 and one half years and recently began playing with the Clear Lake Symphony in August of 2011. She continues to attend school for a bachelor's degree in music education as well as playing events and teaching in Houston and surrounding areas.
