Briahna Sherrod is a Board Certified Music Therapist who attended and graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida to obtain her Bachelor’s in Music with a Secondary Degree in Education. She attended and graduated from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida with her Master’s of Music in Music Therapy where she also received a NICU-MT Certification.
Throughout her experience as a Music Therapist in Orlando and Indiana, Briahna has enjoyed working with clients and their families from various backgrounds and needs. Her cognitive behavioral training and musical gifts primarily served members of the special needs community whom she taught adapted piano and guitar lessons while working on various developmental, emotional, behavioral, physical and cognitive skill sets.
Additionally, in Alabama, Briahna taught group Kindergarten through Second Grade piano classes as part of after school programs. Similar to her experience as a Music Therapist, Briahna strove to inspire an appreciation for music that would encourage students to not only continue to pursue learning how to play the piano specifically but to foster a general lifelong love for music learning.
In February 2020, Briahna returned to her home town of Orlando, Florida where her family resides. She looks forward to meeting all of our Lessons in Your Home Students and Families, and to share that lifelong love of music learning with you.
