A Dallas music scene veteran, Ben Fisher has been playing piano since he was 6 years old, and has worked as a full-time performer, composer, teacher, producer and arranger. Currently, he plays as a founding member in Lover—the largest Taylor Swift tribute act in the world—performing across North America and internationally as far away as Japan and Kuwait. In addition to his work with Lover, Ben writes and performs with his original band Telephone House, named Dallas’ best folk act by the Dallas Observer; he has opened for artists such as The Fray, Birdtalker, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and Susto, playing at Dallas venues such as Toyota Music Factory, The Kessler Theater and Granada Theater. As a producer, he has run sessions and arranged for Edwin Cohen (Frank Sinatra, Julie London) and Zac Maloy (Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton), and his productions have been mixed by Dave Schiffman (Adele, Red Hot Chili Peppers) and mastered by Howie Weinberg (Daft Punk, U2).
Ben studied piano in Chicago under Karin Redekopp Edwards, a direct 7th-generation Beethoven student, and earned a degree in piano performance. As a piano and songwriting instructor since 2010, Ben has helped hundreds of students in enjoying their passion for music, refining their craft and pursuing careers in the music industry. In addition to having taught the members of Kidz Bop and Lara Raj from KATSEYE, his students have gone on to make the top 20 of American Idol, open for A-list acts like Sabrina Carpenter and Jason Derulo, and graduate from universities such as Berklee College of Music in Boston, NYU and UCLA.
