Aubrey was born in Utah, grew up in Issaquah, and now lives nearby in Renton, Washington. A majority of her music training came from various piano teachers in the community as well as from school and church. In addition to studying piano at home, she played cello in the school orchestra and took guitar courses. She continued studying music in college through private piano instruction and played cello with the symphony.
Aubrey began teaching music in high school as a student teacher. She started in an elementary music class and transitioned to a middle school orchestra before coming to the conclusion that she preferred to work with students one-on-one. She started teaching piano in her free time between school and sports and has been teaching ever since.
Outside of teaching music, Aubrey has experience working with children in a variety of settings. She has been working with young children as a nanny, tutor, and teacher for 10 years and spends her weekends interacting with kids of all ages at the children’s museum.
