Aspen's first encounter with music was admittedly being shoehorned into lessons by her mom as a 9-year-old, with a degree of reluctance. This initial uncertainty quickly faded, though, and she found herself falling in love with music. Over the next decade, she would go on to cultivate her skills in violin and piano, performing with multiple honor orchestras, as a soloist in several settings, through several busking opportunities, and a few years making music for a local retirement home. She is a staunch proponent of music as a universal language and a fundamental aspect of humanity--a way to pour out our souls and gain a little glimpse into others'.
Outside of music, Aspen is an avid outdoors enjoyer and a photographer, having taken half a year to hike the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada, as well as an enthusiastic reader and artist.
