About Arin Levy
Dr. Arin Levy (they/them), is a warm-hearted percussionist and sound artist with roots in Cuban-American heritage, currently residing in Denver, CO. Arin's lifelong journey with music has been enriched by the pursuit of degrees in western percussion, music theory, and experimental sound art. They began playing music at the age of 5 with violin, but quickly transitioned to percussion. From 2007-2019, Arin earned 3 degrees in percussion performance: a bachelor's degree from Ohio University, a master's degree from Eastern Kentucky University, and a doctorate of musical arts from The University of Alabama. From 2010-2019, Arin was an active music educator throughout the Southeast and Midwest, instructing at some of the largest music programs in Indiana and Alabama.
Their unique blend of musical expertise is harmoniously woven with a passion for mindfulness, bringing a wealth of knowledge to musicians to create custom crafted lesson plans suited to each student. Arin’s background primarily resides in percussion and drums, and has engaged audiences in over 40 states and 4 continents. They have participated as a performer and educator in Drum Corps International and Winter Guard International percussion sections for six seasons. Arin has also instructed over a dozen school percussion programs in 5 states. As a private instructor, they have worked with percussion students ranging from children as a hobby, to high school students on the college degree path.
Dr. Levy’s doctorate is in percussion performance and music theory. This has led to having students in music theory as well as piano. Arin’s experience in this realm is great for students looking to expand their knowledge and practice of music theory or beginner piano.
After moving to Colorado in 2020, Dr. Levy dove deep into meditation and founded Enso Sounds & Healing Arts, a self-led business for transformative well-being, where vibrant sound baths, gentle yoga, and serene meditation converge to create an oasis of connection and self-discovery.
