About Anthony Torres

Following family tradition, Anthony picked up violin passionately at a young age. Formally trained in Seattle, and Guadalajara with various instructors. He made a career as a Mariachi Violinist. His unique ability to learn the various styles, and sub-genres encompassed by the Mariachi Genre has allowed to participate and win world culture festivals representing mexico and accompanying folklore ballets in Sweden, France, Belgium and Spain. His endeavors also landed him a Grammy nomination in 2017, although he didn't win the award the support given from peers and fans of the Mariachi only pushed him that much harder to keep striving.

He believes no two students are the same. Everyone learns differently and caters to his students needs by getting to know what they wish to accomplish musically, and makes the learning process more interesting and fun incorporating his background into the lessons.
