About Annie Schumacher

Music has always been a major part of Annie’s life. She started at early age, listening to her father who was the first cellist of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra for 30 years. Although classically trained, Annie enjoys listening and playing a wide array of music ranging from pop, jazz, blues, and more. With a B.M.E. from Georgia State University and over 40 years of professional teaching experience, Annie has a lifetime of adventure, experience, and musical knowledge to share with her students. She is also a Certified Suzuki instructor and has nationally recognized original compositions in her repertoire. Safe to say, teaching is Annie’s biggest passion. In each lesson, she aims to foster her students' curiosity, self-motivation, desire to play, and ability to learn.
