Angie Tovar is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston, where she studies voice with Cynthia Clayton. At Moores, she has performed the roles of Emmie in Albert Herring, Chiffon in the Little Shop of Horrors, and had a featured role in the musical revue Sondheim on Sondheim. She is also the Gilbert and Sullivan Society's 2023 undergraduate competition scholarship winner. In addition, she currently performs in Concert Chorale, the school’s top ensemble. Upon completing her degree, Angie plans to pursue a career as a professional opera singer and voice teacher. Angie has enjoyed her experience thus far as a piano and voice teacher, and looks forward to continuing to share her love of music with her students.
