Andie Ades (they/she) is a musician, educator and graduate from Pacific Lutheran University originally hailing from Kent, Washington and currently living in North Seattle. Their passion for singing sparked when she started singing for rock bands at age 14 at her hometown school of rock Dace's Rock n More, which led to her gigging at venues such as the Hard Rock Cafe, Old Firehouse in Redmond, Real Art Tacoma, Cafe Racer and the Skylark Cafe, recording two EP's in various garages, and having her single Who's Sorry Now? by Tambo receive radio play on KEXP's audioasis in 2019.
Andie was an avid participant in their high school musicals, solo and ensemble, sung for the jazz band, and led a small acapella group in singing the National Anthem at graduation. Andie took a different route in college, studying classical voice and performing in operas and theatrical productions such as Sweeney Todd and Die Fledermaus. She was also very involved in choir, acapella, and participated in a musical theatre masterclass by Tony-award winner Alice Ripley. After earning their Bachelor's of Arts in Music, Andie worked at Sally's, did caregiving, and eventually realized she enjoyed teaching music to others when she volunteered for Rain City Rock Camp in 2023. Since discovering their passion for music education, they've taught vocal performance, theatre improv, ukulele and beginner music theory to elementary school kids in after-school enrichment classes and is continuing to grow as a patient, progress rather than perfection orientated mentor. Outside of her main instrument of voice, she has been playing guitar and piano since she was 16 and produces solo synthpop projects under the name andiescores.
From rock to Broadway, Nina Simone to Kate Bush, Andie has experience with a broad variety of music and is thrilled to share their knowledge and love for performing with the brilliant and brazen younger generation. Outside of singing and composing, Andie makes collage art, listens to a lot of 80s new wave and enjoys reading short sci-fi stories.
