Amber is a board-certified music therapist, who believes that music should be an enjoyable and rewarding experience for every student. Born and raised in Georgia, Amber has been singing from a young age and began studying piano at age seven. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music from Valdosta State University in 2017 and her Master’s degree in Music Therapy from Georgia College in 2021.
Throughout her musical education, Amber gained experience as a vocalist and performer, participating in choral ensembles, an a cappella jazz ensemble, and opera productions. She has since shared her love of music through teaching private lessons in voice and ukulele, as well as beginner and intermediate piano and beginner guitar.
As a teacher, Amber takes a student-centered approach to music education. She believes in meeting each student where they are and helping them build confidence and skills from there. Every student learns differently, and Amber strives to create a patient, encouraging, and supportive environment where students feel comfortable learning at their own pace.
Amber believes that learning an instrument is a journey that takes time, practice, and patience. Her goal is not only to help students develop their musical abilities, but also to help them discover the joy and confidence that come from making music.
