About Alyssa Lucente

Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Alyssa Lucente began playing the violin at age nine. She studied under Joyce Wohlgemuth and served as concertmaster of the Pittsburgh Youth Concert Orchestra. Alyssa earned her undergraduate degree in violin performance from the University of Michigan, where she studied with renowned violinist David Halen. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami under the guidance of Bettina Mussumeli.

Alyssa’s teaching philosophy centers on empowering students to become their best selves both in and out of the studio. She is committed to fostering a supportive, honest, and encouraging environment where students can grow musically while building self-confidence. Her passion lies in teaching enthusiastic young musicians, sharing the knowledge passed down to her, and witnessing each student’s unique journey and success.

In addition to her musical background, Alyssa also trained as a classical ballet dancer and continues to hold a deep appreciation for the art form.
