Alexandra Gorman is a soprano based out of Houston, TX who has dedicated her life to singing and music since 2008. She is a graduate of the University of Houston Moores School of Music where she received her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance & Pedagogy, and she received her Bachelor of Music from the University of North Texas in Vocal Performance. Alexandra is currently an active, operatic performer and has recently been featured with Mercury Chamber Orchestra and Ars Lyrica Houston.
In addition to performance, teaching music has always been a great passion of hers. While Alexandra is a professional opera singer, she is thrilled to teach other genres of singing such as musical theatre and pop, as well as piano. Your sound is your own, unique instrument, and choosing songs you connect to is always important. Alexandra finds great joy being a part of the process of helping others find their musical voice. Learning to sing or play is a rewarding and special journey, and she strives to be a nurturing and encouraging teacher for her students just like the teachers that taught her.
When she is not singing onstage or teaching her wonderful students, Alexandra enjoys yoga, walking her dog named Oliver, and reading.
