About Alex Blocker
Alex Blocker is a Violinist, Songwriter, and Touring Performer. He was born in Chicago and grew up studying Classical, Jazz, Hip-Hop, and more. Blocker received a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO, and immediately began teaching music for the public schools. During his stay in the southwest, Blocker was introduced to Folk and Bluegrass styles of string playing.
Blocker recently relocated to Denver to serve a more diverse student body, and expand his options as a performance artist. Alex Blocker's music can be found on all streaming platforms, and music videos can be found on youtube. Alex Blocker is currently featured in the Museum of Contemporary Art's exhibit, "Black in Denver," and he was recently featured on the cover of Westword Magazine.
