Find cello Lessons In Midtown With Our Private cello Teachers

Lessons In Your Home is a world class music school that provides effective and successful cello learning experiences. Our teachers are professional cellists, many who have performed with orchestras and musical ensembles across the country and around the globe at well-known venues as Atlanta Lyric Theater and Cobb Energy Center. They have studied cello at colleges such as Augusta University, Georgia State and University of Georgia. Our cello teachers are well trained and musically well balanced from mentorship under world-renowned cellists as Zbigniew Szoltysek, Paul York, Martha Gerschefski, Christopher Rex, among others. Their extensive cello training and education have also allowed our cello teachers to embrace various contemporary works for cello that are sure to expand students’ thinking and musical creativity outside the classical repertoire. For example, our teachers have performed with contemporary pop artists such as Robin Thicke, Migos, India Arie, and Baby Rose on NPR’s Tiny Desk series for the non-classical audience.

What Families Say About Us

Midtown cello Lessons For Kids

When we think about the cello, we think about the size. Don’t let that intimidate you — it is actually easy to play compared to the violin and viola if you learn how to correctly position and hold the cello. For children just starting out with cello lessons, there are various cello sizes available based on the child’s height and stature. Young beginners will gradually work towards a full size cello instrument as they grow. Think about this. Cello is a lot of fun for kids because there are often less notes to play than violin songs — a simple song may have just a few notes. The cello has a wonderful deep tone and beauty that kids will love to enjoy and play for captive audiences big and small.
