About William Bryan
I come from a musical family and have been surrounded by music my whole life. My first instrument was a harmonica that I received as a toddler. I would walk around the house just blowing in it. At the age of eight years old I started my music studies on the piano. I took things to the next level by learning dance.
I think the very rhythmic movements of tap and hip-hop helped to prepare me to become a percussionist. I started percussion at the age of eleven. In my high school I played in every music
group that the school had. I joined the school drum line and marched 2nd bass drum for four years winning best in percussion.
It was during my high school years that I started playing in different groups. I was the first drummer for the church band that we formed. We played all types of music from spirituals to classic rock. While in college. I joined a country band. We currently play shows and events all over Florida. I also taught as an after school music teacher with the Dade County public school system in Miami. Here, I worked with inner city children teaching drum line percussion.
