About Rebeca Gomez
Rebeca Gomez is a performer, arranger and instructor of music. She started taking private piano lessons at the age of seven, with a piano teacher from her neighborhood in Havana. At the age of ten, she was admitted into the Elementary Conservatoire, "Manuel Saumell" for guitar, an instrument that soon became her real passion. Later, in 2003, she graduated from the Conservatoire "Amadeo Roldan" as "Performer and Instructor of Guitar and Ensemble Practice", where she studied under eminent professor Esteban Campuzano.
Since then, she has been a music instructor, as well as a performer, accompanying important Cuban artists such as Pedro Romero, Haydee Milanes, Lazaro Valdes, and Jose Bustillo, cultivating genres of traditional Cuban music, funk, rock, trova, and jazz. In the University of Havana, she earned a Law Degree, but she never abandoned music. She can communicate in English, Spanish and French. She arrived to the United States in 2014, with the dream to continue sharing her love of music with students of all ages.
