About Mariadela Perez-Albela

Born in Lima, Peru, Mariadela, also known as Mdela is a singer/songwriter
(BMI) with more than 7 years in the music industry www.Mdela.net She
started her musical journey at a very early age, leaving her country to
study Music (voice) in North Carolina, where she would immerse in North
American culture, embracing pop, rock, jazz, blues and folk elements into
her music. After graduating from Mars Hill College, NC, Mariadela started
teaching privately in the summer and fall of 2000, while attending FSU's
Master's in Music Therapy program. She continued on to Miami, FL where
she started practicing as a Music Therapist, also teaching voice, piano and
guitar privately, while developing her performing and songwriting career.

Mariadela founded her own Music Therapy company MusicBit Therapy in
2006 www.MusicBitTherapy.com , with the mission to serve children with
Autism and Developmental Delays, and to teach music to children,
adolescents and adults with and without special needs.

In 2007 her song "Busca Tu Voz" [BMI] won the SOTY (Song of the Year)
contest that included renowned jury writers like Norah Jones and Bon
Jovi. Mariadela, toured Peru and the US in 2008, promoting her album
"Lineas 1000" [Peer Music] making appearences in TV, Radio, major
publications, and offering shows in well known venues. She continued
teaching and offering therapy through MusicBit.

The Foreign Relations Committee of the Congress in Peru granted
Mariadela the "Premio Orgullo Peruano 2009" (Peruvian Pride Award) for
her successful career as a Peruvian artist and professional abroad.

Los Angeles, California became Mariadela's new home in 2011, opening
the doors of venues such as The House of Blues Hollywood, Universal City
Walk Hollywood, The Paramount Theater, Raleigh Studios, among others;
and working as a Music Director, Music Teacher and Artist in Alcamay
Entertainment.

In 2013 she traveled to Mexico to promote her last single "Little Blue"
produced by Dany Tomas, who has created hits for RBD, Cristian Castro,
Martha Sanchez, Lara Fabian, Araceli Arambula, Eric Sasha y Beni, and
whose credits include 4 grammy nominations, 5 MTV Latin America
nominations, and 13 nominations to the Latin Billboards.

Mariadela is currently in Miami, FL working as a music therapist and music
teacher, while promoting her single.
