    About Laura Reed

    Laura Reed is a Violinist and Violin Teacher in Seattle, Washington. She grew up in a musical family and began taking violin lessons at the age of 7. After attending a performance of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker in the 5th grade, she realized that music is what she loved and she began practicing her instrument! Laura went on to earn a bachelor's degree in music performance and graduate cum laude from Western Washington University in 2012.

    While at WWU, she was a member of the Scholarship String Quartet and was concertmaster of the University Symphony Orchestra. She also attended the Meadowmount School of Music during the summer of 2010. Laura has extensive classical music experience, having played in large and small ensembles since childhood. She has also played in a Mariachi band and plays Irish fiddle.

    Laura has been teaching private violin lessons since 2007 and has experience teaching students of all ages and experience levels. Aside from playing and teaching music, Laura enjoys sailing, performing improv comedy, and flying kites.
