About Emily Hudson
Emily Hudson is a Miami native and University of Miami graduate. She found her love for playing violin at 7 years young and followed the Suzuki method for 11 more years through violin lessons, workshops, and competitions. She also played in an orchestra for 7 years, making it to the county honors festivals, and receiving superior scores at her magnet schools. As well as violin, Emily started taking piano lessons in middle school and continued until the end of high school. In 2010, she started teaching both group and private violin and piano lessons at a local Miami elementary school until transferring to Lessons In Your Home in 2013. After a short period living in Madrid, Spain, she moved back to Miami and finished her degree. Emily's goal is to teach lessons with a fun and intuitive approach, while also building a strong foundation in music theory. She believes students learn best when they are motivated by small, incremental accomplishments. Although trained in classical music, she also loves tailoring lessons to whichever genre the student prefers, including pop and jazz.
