About Christine Jobson

As a child, Christine Jobson literally could not stop singing! She took advantage of every musical opportunity that came her way and was an active member of her school's choir and band.As a classically trained full lyric soprano, Miami native Christine Jobson skillfully blends warm, versatile top notes with a sultry, robust lower register. Christine also enjoys singing in the pop, R and B, jazz, and Broadway styles.

To master her natural ability, Christine received a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from Oakwood University and a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Kentucky. She also studied at the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria.

Among her operatic roles, she lists Musetta in Puccini,La Boheme, Celie in Thomas Pasatieri's Signor Deluso, and Bess in Gershwin's Porgy and Bess. As a concert singer, Christine has been featured in the US, Spain, Bermuda, Portugal, the Bahamas, Austria and the Caribbean. She has also been featured as the soprano section leader for the Delray Beach Chorale in Delray Beach, Fl.

Christine served as a music teacher and director of the high school and junior high choirs at Miami Union Academy for two years and as an adjunct professor of music at Barry University for three years.

Christine is also an able pianist and clarinet player. She plays with and for a variety of services, soloists, and groups. Christine has been teaching private music lessons for students of all ages with varying levels of ability for over 7 years. She loves to expose her students to a wide variety of musical styles including popular music, classical, jazz and so much more!
