About Angel Vanegas
Angel Vanegas holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Composition while having studied the clarinet under Paul Green. He studied composition under Orlando Jacinto Garcia, Fredrik Kaufman, Gonzalo Gonzalez, and Dennis Janzer. He has performed in the FIU Wind Ensemble, the New Music Ensemble and has written music for a variety of instruments such as string quartet, piano, guitar and clarinet duet, trumpet duet, and electro acoustic.
Mr. Vanegas loves to learn and loves to teach others of the things he learns. He is always looking for the best way to convey information and to instill a love of learning in any subject matter. He believes in a whole body philosophy: In order to become a great musician, one must be aware of how the body is being used and the most efficient way of using it as well as developing a musical ear and theoretical knowledge.
Mr. Vanegas currently studies how to maximize efficiency in music practice and how to consistently achieve peak performances by studying how the masters in various fields achieve their own successes and constantly experimenting with his own practices.
